Summary
Mining, manufacturing and utilities activities contributed 39.9% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2017, followed by financial intermediation, real estate and business activities (13.1%), and wholesale, retail and hotels (10.7%). In nominal terms, the three sectors are expected to grow by 9.4%, 8.9% and 9.4% respectively in 2018.
Saudi Arabia has allocated SAR372.0 billion (USD 97.9 bn) for the development of infrastructure during the tenth plan period (2015-2019) which is an increase of 76.0% over the previous plan
